MEANING WITH
RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT WITHIN ME
MESSAGE
You've
probably heard people refer to this
wonderful
mystery
as
being "Reborn" or becoming a "Born
Again Christian" and if you're not
very familiar with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ, then it may be a
little confusing as to just exactly
what that means.
You may have seen
"Revivals" where people gather and
are "Saved" and it all may seem a
little ... Surreal, and sometimes a
little too sensational even. Why
don't we look into the TRUTH
about it then?
One
thing you may be wondering, is
whether being
water
baptized
is the same as being
reborn or born again,
and is being
saved
even different from those things, or
what?
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WATER
BAPTISM AND BEING BAPTIZED BY THE
HOLY SPIRIT.
Well, you might think of it
this way ... The moment you decide
to give your life to Jesus Christ is
when you are saved.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the
world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth
in Him should not
perish, but have
everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son
into the world to
condemn the world; but
that the world through
Him might
be saved. |
When
you surrender your life to Go and I
am placed within you and
commit yourself to becoming
sensitive to My leadership ...
That's when you're renewed in
Spirit, or reborn in Spirit, or born
again. You might think of being
Spiritually baptized by Me as sort of an adoption,
just like when a child is adopted,
they become part of a new family and
take on
the name
of
that family. When
you're baptized by the Holy Spirit
(NOT WATER) you're being
brought into the family of Christ or
the body of Christ and identified
as, or named a
Christian ...
Water was used as a symbol of
washing away sins, so you could
think of baptism as a spiritual
cleansing. The
ceremony
of
baptism is just a symbolic
celebration of your entering into
the family of Christianity, which is
why they refer to baptism as
Christening
or being
Christened,
but the ceremony isn't
the
baptism.
The cleansing or renewal of your
spirit is the baptism.
Let's see how Jesus Himself
explained being born again, shall
we?

John 3:1-8
There was a man of the
Pharisees, named
Nicodemus, a ruler of
the Jews: The same came
to Jesus by night, and
said unto Him, Rabbi, we
know that thou art a
Teacher come from God:
for no man can do these
miracles that thou
doest, except God be
with him. Jesus answered
and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man
be
born again,
he cannot see the
Kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto
Him, How can a man be
born when he is old? can
he enter the second time
into his mother's womb,
and be born? Jesus
answered, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be
born of water and of the
Spirit,
he cannot enter into the
Kingdom of God. That
which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and
that which is born of
the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said
unto thee,
Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where
it listeth, and thou
hearest the sound
thereof, but canst not
tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so
is every one that is
born of the Spirit. |
I give birth ... Or life ... To your
spirit.
Sooooooo, can you expect to have an
out of body experience, or an
unexplainable euphoric feeling, or
fall down faint on the ground or
suddenly sport a halo when you're
born again? Does being reborn happen
all at once at a distinct moment,
and are you suddenly filled with
spiritual wisdom next to that of
king Solomon, or are you slowly
changed? These may sound like silly
questions, but things out of the
ordinary
have
happened to people when they opened
the door of their heart to Me. Let's
take a look, shall we?
PENTECOST
Pentecost (which means 50th day) was
when I descended upon the Apostles
after Jesus' resurrection. Just ten
days earlier, Jesus ascended into
Heaven, but He told them ahead of
time to be expecting My arrival:

Acts 1:4-5
And, being assembled
together with them,
commanded them that they
should not depart from
Jerusalem, but wait for
the promise of the
Father, which, saith He,
ye have heard of Me. For
John truly baptized with
water; but ye shall be
baptized with the Holy
Ghost
not many days hence. |
So, here they were, about 120 of
Jesus' disciples gathered together
because it was a feast celebration,
but they had the intent, also, of
spreading the Gospel that Jesus
taught them. Do you think they
weren't a little keyed up? If you
think Christians get a little
enthusiastic at rallies and such in
today's era, can you imagine, having
actually seen Jesus in the flesh and
having heard His teachings with
their own ears, how excited these
disciples were to get out and get
the world rockin' about Salvation?
Sheeez boy!
Now
imagine, enters Holy Spirit!
Suddenly
the wind kicks up ... Tremendously
...
And
it
fills the
house
where
they're at ...
Inside!!!
Next ...
|
Acts 2:3-4
And there appeared unto
them
cloven tongues like as
of fire,
and it sat upon each of
them. And they were
all filled with the Holy
Ghost,
and began to speak with
other tongues,
as the Spirit gave them
utterance. |
Sounds a little more ...
Spiritual ... Than what most are
used to in today's day and age,
but it was REAL! John the
Baptist prophesied about the
very event!
|
Luke 3:16
John answered,
saying unto them
all, I indeed
baptize you with
water; but One
mightier than I
cometh, the latchet
of whose shoes I am
not worthy to
unloose: He shall
baptize you with
the Holy Ghost and
with
fire
... |
Now, if you saw this happen at a
revival today, say one night
on television when you couldn't
sleep at 3 a.m., you may be
inclined to think it was a bunch
of malarkey or that it was all
staged, which some very well may
be, but in many cases it IS real
and most still doubt.
Guess what ...
That's what happened then too!
See, at the time I first
introduced myself to the
Apostles and others , there
were foreigners staying at
Jerusalem for the feast and they
all gathered
together when they heard rumor
of what was going on, and when
they heard the disciples (who
were all from Galilee) speaking
in a universal language which
people from every nation could
understand, they became very
interested, but others mocked, saying
that they were just a bunch of
drunks hooting and hollering ... And they may have
indeed appeared that way because
they were so enlivened,
experiencing My power for the
first time.
I ask you, is it any different
than My presence at a gathering
of Christians today and
extraordinary things happening?
Why do people believe that it
happened at Pentecost, but it's
hard to believe that I am still
HOLY GHOSTING people now? The sad
reason is that there
are
some people who fake it for
money or attention, and that
makes even the
real thing
seem in-credible. You'll just
have to decide when it's
real
and when it isn't.
Miracles can happen ... And they
do.

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I
say unto you, He
that believeth on
Me, the works that I
do shall he do also;
and greater works
than these shall he
do; because I go
unto My Father. |
ON THE OTHER HAND
I appeared with fire at
Pentecost ... Yet you'll read
that thousands upon thousands
received Me in other ways, some
simply accepting Me in their
hearts, some after hearing a man
of God preach the Gospel, some
after the laying on of hands,
and in Paul's case, just for
having reached the time of his
calling.
The point is ... Relax.
If you don't speak in tongues or
find a flame resting on you when
you invite Me to infuse your
life with the kind of spiritual
fire that lights you up to
glorify God, that doesn't mean
you did something wrong, or that
it's not real, or that you're
not really saved yet.
It only
means that it's different for
different people.
Take a look at what happened to
Paul when he received Me. First,
he was blinded for three days,
then a man named Ananias, who
was a disciple of the Lord was
sent to him:

Acts 9:17-18
And Ananias went his
way, and entered
into the house; and
putting his hands on
him said, Brother
Saul, the Lord, even
Jesus, that appeared
unto thee in the way
as thou camest, hath
sent me, that thou
mightest receive thy
sight, and
be filled with the
Holy Ghost.
And immediately
there fell from his
eyes as it had been
scales: and he
received sight
forthwith, and
arose,
and was baptized. |
Now,
if anyone tells you that you
must have some kind of
spectacular experience in order
to become a spiritual servant of
any value, just tell them about
Paul ... Probably one of
the
most spiritual men of God in
history, was blinded for the
occasion and there is no mention
of these wild things happening
when he received Me, except that
He could then SEE!
So as YOU CAN SEE,
becoming renewed in spirit is a
vastly different experience for
different individuals. Perhaps
it may take you a period of time
to develop a renewed spirit.
Everyone is unique. Don't
compare. When a child is born,
you're elated at the miracle of
the child, the delivery will
soon be forgotten, but the
health and happiness and growth
of the child is what's
important. Some children learn
to walk before they're a year
old, and others, not until
they're almost two.

METHOD AND

What
can
you expect when you're renewed
in spirit? You can expect the
desire for an increased
awareness of the presence of God
in your life. You're not living
for yourself anymore, you
understand.
YOU GET IT
You don't belong to
you ... You surrendered that.
Your hopes are different, your
dreams are different, your
intents are different, your
motives are different, your mind
is different, your opinions are
different ... You are a
new
spirit, You're not the
old
you ... Remember:

John 3:6-8
That which is born
of the flesh is
flesh; and
that which is born
of the Spirit is
spirit.
Marvel not that I
said unto thee, Ye
must be born again.
The wind bloweth

sound thereof, but

goeth:

is born of the
Spirit. |
Wave bye-bye to the old you!
You'll begin to depend less on
what you've learned from the
world and from mankind, and more
on Me to help you discern
spiritual things.

Ezekiel 36:26-27
A new heart also
will I give you, and
a new Spirit will I
put within you:
and I will take away
the stony heart out
of your flesh, and I
will give you an
heart of flesh. And
I will put My Spirit
within you,
and cause you to
walk in My statutes,
and ye shall keep My
judgments, and do
them. |
During your spiritual
transformation, you'll realize
that you cannot go on living the
way you used to, tho as Paul
explained there will be LOTS of
lures.
Your lifestyle will slowly begin
to reflect
that you are reborn in spirit,
and no longer a worldly
creature.
RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT TRUTH OF
RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT TIMING
REQUIRES
RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT PATIENCE
It is a ONE DAY AT A TIME change
You will fall, but if you
repent and grab my hand ... I
will lift you up.
But slowly you will experience a
CHANGE in your choices.
YOU WILL STOP LOOKING INTO THE
REAR VIEW MIRROR AND BECOME A
NEW MAN
(OR WOMAN)
Philippians 3:13
Brethren, I count
not myself to have
apprehended: but
this one thing I do,
forgetting those
things which are
behind, and reaching
forth unto those
things which are

And have
put on the new man,
which is renewed in
knowledge after the
image of Him that
created him. |

And that ye
put on the new man,
which after God is
created in
righteousness and
true holiness. |
You
learned about Me working
in
you and also working
through
you. Another way that I work in
you is transforming you so that
people recognize by your fruits
that you represent Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:22-23
... the
fruit of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering,
gentleness,
goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance
... |
You have a new cause ... A new
purpose ... A new attitude. And
I know you'll want to jump in
with both feet and save the
world tomorrow morning bright
and early, but don't forget the
world isn't as receptive as you
are. Don't lose your enthusiasm,
and also, don't become impatient
with them. I'll teach you what
you need to know.
IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE

RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT CHOICE FOR
RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT CHANGE
You've probably heard the saying
"Birds of a feather, flock
together." Don't expect people who
are not spiritual or don't have the
desire to become spiritual to
understand you. They will treat you
like you are from a different world,
and you are ... Well, actually, a
different realm. I think that soon
you'll find that,
My friends will become your friends.
Edify one another and help each
other to stay on the right path in
life.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16
But as it is written,
Eye hath not seen, nor
ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart
of man, the things which
God hath prepared for
them that love Him. But
God hath revealed them
unto us
by His Spirit:
for
the Spirit
searcheth all things,
yea, the deep things of
God. For what man
knoweth the things of a
man, save the spirit of
man which is in him?
even so the things of
God knoweth no man, but
the
Spirit of God.
Now we have received,
not the spirit of the
world, but
the Spirit which is of
God;
that we might know the
things that are freely
given to us of God.
Which things also we
speak, not in the words
which man's wisdom teacheth, but which
the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual
things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things
of the
Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness
unto him: neither can he
know them, because they
are
Spiritually discerned.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet
he himself is judged of
no man. For who hath
known the mind of the
Lord, that he may
instruct Him? But we
have the mind of Christ. |
There are so many things that
you are going to want to know
about, and the more spiritual
you become, the more you will
understand. If you become
frustrated because your
spiritual growth is not
happening as fast as you'd like
it to, again, please be patient
and trust Me.
Psalms 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be
of good courage, and
He shall strengthen
thine heart: wait, I
say, on the LORD. |

Psalms 37:34
Wait on the LORD,
and keep His way ... |
I can see from perspectives
that you cannot see from. God's
perspective is eternity ... From
eternity, the things that seem
important today, don't amount to
much. Don't let go of My hand.
Talk to Me. Ask Me things ...
Keep on asking ... Be curious
about your faith ... Investigate
it ... Learn ... Share with
others. I will help you. I have
a specific purpose for you, and
My timing is perfect, so when
you think things are moving too
slow ... Wait ... Because God is
moving everything into its
proper place. Don't be impatient
... Travel steadily along His
path.
Can't wait to talk with you

Ask Him what characteristic you have that He would like to see replaced with a new one, or what habit you have that He would like replaced with a different one. Listen for His answer. When you receive His answer, write a pledge in your Personal Spiritual Journal to surrender the old, and replace it with the new. Don't forget to thank Him for helping you to realize how to live closer to the center of God's will.
