anxious and eager at the same time.

We now
have a new door with a new lock to our heart and soul.
Do we REALLY want our life to change for the better?
Do we REALLY want to let go of the things from our past?
Well… let's think for a few minutes about things…
Our soul has “garments” around it. Garments consisting of
our surroundings, our response to things, our thoughts and
our actions, our way of thinking…
We need to change our old garments.

Luke 5:36
And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of
a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new
maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new
agreeth not with the old.

It's time to experience that joy
that we have been longing for
all our lives.
It's time to experience that hope we try to
hold onto, but seems so far out of reach.
Why?
Why does it always seem so out of reach? Because of the
walls we allow to stay there. Walls of addictions, old ways,
keeping in contact with people we know harm us, allowing old
triggers to negatively affect our thoughts…
When our clothes get dirty after wearing them, what do we do
with them? Keep wearing them? Each day the smell grows
stronger and stronger… but we keep wearing them? No. We take
them off, and wash them.
It's time to change the garments around our soul.
Our past is in the past. It’s done. No more. Enough is
enough.
We are starting over now.

memories at the same time.
It's impossible.
But, we already know that, because we've been trying to have
both for some time now.
We are being born again! Just like a butterfly once was a
caterpillar. It was reborn into a gorgeous creature that
flies.
We are no longer a caterpillar crawling in the dirt. We are
becoming that butterfly. We will never have to crawl in dirt
again.

we are breaking free of our past and have become pure within
ourselves, let's create a PLACE that is pure, untouched, and
clean that we can go to and talk to God.
Let’s build a shrine.
CLEAN. UNTOUCHED. PURE.
INCEST ORIGINS CHALLENGE FOR

It is OUR place for only us and God. No one is allowed in
it. The only things that are allowed in is things that
inspire and give us the hope that we need. Maybe some pictures of Jesus,
angels, lyrics of songs that give us Hope and remind us of
the Freedom that we are heading toward, quotes or Bible verses
that encourage us.
Nothing is allowed in our shrine without our permission. It
may be an entire room in our house (if we are the only one
that enters it). It may be a corner in our house. Maybe even
a closet we are able to move the clothes out of so we can
have a place for us and God to talk and focus.

Matthew 6:6
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when
thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
|
We are NOT to bring ANY old garments in. All old thoughts
and fears are NOT welcome anymore.
You know how we have a "bedtime routine" where we start to
settle down so we can get tired before we go to bed? We have
trained ourselves that when we start doing those things and
get into bed, our body knows it's time to go to sleep. So
naturally our body will get tired and fall asleep.
Our shrine is going to work the same way.
We are going to train our mind that whenever we step foot in
our shine, that it is ONLY God and us time. Only encouraging
things will surround us. Only positive thoughts are allowed during the time we are sitting in our shrine.
This is God's place.
It's pure.
Our soul is going to love it and look forward to it every
day. We have to make sure we set aside time everyday to
visit it.
It will help us stay focused on our goal.

Ezekiel
36:25-27
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be
clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I
cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit
will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out
of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will
put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes,
and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. |
We can
do this.
Even though it might seem hard at times or even impossible
to actually live a life without the fear of abuse and/or
memories of abuse… we CAN be set free.
We just have to CHOOSE to try.
We have to choose to give our lives with our past, present,
and future up to God for Him to steer us in the right
direction. All we can do and need to do, is hold onto Him
and follow.
Let Him make us free from our past. He knows
how.

moment that we decide that thing are going to change, is when it
CAN start to change.
They aren't going to magically change on their own without
our FAITH. We feel
that tug and that desperate desire to be let go of our
yesterdays, yet we still hang on to them. We have to take
that next step. We have to get rid of the destruction in our
life.
We have to say NO MORE.
We are done with feeling ashamed, broken, empty, and
hopeless.
