their mind and heart in a fleshly or carnal manner.
In other words ...

point of view that is VERY limited in a PHYSICAL sense,
causing misinterpretation of the message being shared.
According to God's Word ... We must learn to DISCERN God’s
Word from a SPIRITUAL point of view and to do this, we must
learn to ...
WALK IN THE SPIRIT NOT IN THE FLESH
THE BIBLE
GIVES US MANY EXAMPLES OF HOW TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT NOT IN
THE FLESH.

Galatians 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also
Walk in the Spirit. |
And IF
we learn how and CHOOSE to walk in the SPIRIT … We are not
overcome by the lures of the FLESHLY point of view.
|
Galatians 5:16
This I say then,
Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. |
And if we can do this my
friend …
Then the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the law is placed within us.
|
Romans 8:4
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled
in us, who
Walk NOT after the flesh, but after the SPIRIT. |
See,
the law is SPIRITUAL but most perceive it in a physical or
carnal manner.

Romans 7:14
For we know that
THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL:
but I am carnal, sold under sin. |
But
... IF we CHOOSE to walk in the Spirit and the
“righteousness of law” is fulfilled in us … There will be no
condemnation, by breaking the SPIRITUAL law.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which
are in Christ Jesus, who
walk NOT
after the flesh, but after the
SPIRIT.

Here is Wisdom ...
We must learn to compare Spiritual matters with Spiritual
INSIGHT.

1 Corinthians 2:13
Which things also we speak, not in the words which
man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost
teacheth;
comparing
spiritual
things with
spiritual. |
The REASON we MUST CHOOSE to
Spiritually discern all matters is simple.
If we do not ...
We cannot hear the TRUTH from the Spirit of God because we
are BLINDED by our natural or carnal point of view.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit
of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned. |
LET'S
LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLESHLY OR CARNAL VIEW VERSUS
THE SPIRITUAL VIEW.
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
NOT IN THE FLESH WARNING OF
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
NOT IN THE FLESH DANGERS AND
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
NOT IN THE FLESH CONCERNS
Jesus
made a statement once that made many of His followers walk
away.
|
John 6:66
From that time many of His (Jesus) disciples went
back,
and walked no more with Him. |
This
Scripture is easy to remember because of the “666” which
always rings a WARNING bell in most Christians … This verse
IS an excellent warning to those who do not hear the Word of
God from a Spiritual point of view.
In
this simple verse, we find MANY of the followers of Jesus
changing their mind about following Him for some reason. I
would like to look into the REASONING for their abrupt
change of mind and heart as to avoid the same pitfall in our
Christian Walk.
Here
is what Jesus said that made many of His followers walk
away.

John 6:53-58
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Except ye
EAT THE FLESH
of the Son of man, and
DRINK HIS BLOOD,
ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and
drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will RAISE
HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY. For my flesh is meat indeed,
and my blood is drink indeed.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood,
dwelleth in me, and I in him.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the
Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by
me. This is that bread which came down from heaven:
not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:
he that eateth of this BREAD
shall live for ever. |
The
problem was that many of those present heard the Words that
Jesus shared from a PHYSICAL point of view instead of
Spiritual. See they thought He literally meant to eat His
flesh and drink His blood.
When
Jesus saw many were not comfortable with what He had told
them about partaking of His blood and body ...
Jesus shared more on this matter.

John 6:60-63
Many therefore of His disciples, when they had heard
this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples murmured
at it, He said unto them, Doth this offend you? What
and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where He
was before? It is the SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH; the
flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto
you, they are SPIRIT, and they are LIFE. |
The
word quickeneth … Means to give life or energy to.
The
act Jesus was speaking of was SPIRITUAL.

John 6:51
I am the living bread which came
down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he
shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is
my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. |
Jesus is the LIVING Bread.
Jesus is the WORD of GOD.
|
John 1:1-3
In the beginning
was the Word,
and the
Word was with God,
and the
Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. All things
were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing
made that was made. |

John 1:14
And the Word was
made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
TRUTH. |
Another way
to look at this is to ask yourself, What is a word? It is an
expression. The expression of God in written form, is the
Bible, and Jesus is the physical expression of God.
Jesus told us plainly ...
That we cannot live by physical bread but
by the WORD of God. The SPIRITUAL BREAD.

Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not
live by bread alone, but by every
Word
that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. |
So we see that Jesus is the Spiritual
Bread of God and that we are to partake of the Bread of God
daily.
But what of the blood?
|
Hebrews 13:20
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead
our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep,
through
the blood of the everlasting covenant ... |
His
blood is the blood which sealed the New Covenant.
The
new Agreement between God and man.
|
Colossians 1:14
In whom
we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins ... |
Those
that believe in Jesus are to PARTAKE of His blood and in so
doing, then have redemption and forgiveness of sins.
It is
a SPIRITUAL partaking of His Flesh and Blood ...
Many
have chosen to create a somewhat physical act of partaking
of the flesh and blood, by eating bread and wine.
Most
that practice this act now call it Communion …

1 Corinthians 10:16-17
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it
not the COMMUNION of the blood of Christ? The bread
which we break, is it not the communion of the body of
Christ? FOR WE BEING MANY ARE
ONE BREAD, and ONE BODY: for we are all partakers of
that one bread. |
|
1 Corinthians 11:24-27
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and
said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for
you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same
manner also he took the cup, when he had supped,
saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood:
this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of
me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this
cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink
this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of
the body and blood of the Lord.

The
act of Communion is a PHYSICAL expression of those who
perform this ritual in obedience to fulfill this request of
Jesus.
|
John 6:53-58

But,
remember that just sipping a lil wine and eating a lil wafer
once a week at Church will not save you. that is just the
PHYSICAL expression.
PARTAKING OF THE SPIRITUAL FLESH (BREAD) AND BLOOD OF JESUS
MEANS TO ABSORB THE
WORD OF GOD AND TO BECOME PART OF THE
NEW COVENANT
BY BEING FILLED WITH FAITH AND THIS
BELIEF IN JESUS WILL HAVE YOU COVERED BY THE
BLOOD OF JESUS
AND RECEIVE THE GRACE OF GOD.
So, we
see it is VERY important to gain this SPIRITUAL insight as
to be able to WALK IN THE SPIRIT NOT IN THE FLESH.
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
NOT IN THE FLESH PROMISE WITH
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
NOT IN THE FLESH BLESSINGS AND
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
NOT IN THE FLESH HOPE
The problem is that we are born into a natural (Physical) body and we will
be transformed into Spiritual body when we pass on to the
next realm.

1 Corinthians 15:46
Howbeit that was not first
which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and
afterward that which is spiritual. |
In like
manner ... We need to transform our way of thinking from the
natural (Physical or carnal) way we perceive things into a
SPIRITUAL view of that which confronts us.
|
Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is
death; but to be SPIRITUALLY minded is life and peace. |
But
HOW does one obtain this Spiritual walk …
BECOME
ONE WITH THE LORD ... STUDY GOD'S WORD.
|
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints
and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the heart. |
And
get tight with the Holy Spirit, your comforter and He will
reveal these things to you …

1 Corinthians 2:10
But God hath revealed them
unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God. |
You must
begin to RENEW
YOUR MIND.
|
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. |
You must
actually PLANT the new seeds.
|
Galatians 6:8
For he that soweth to his
flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that
soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting. |
