SON OF GOD BIBLE STUDY
CHRISTIANITY OASIS

SON OF GOD BIBLE STUDY LOOKS INTO THE BIBLE AT THE SON OF GOD
WHO IS JESUS. MOST KNOW OF
JESUS BUT SOME DO NOT KNOW THAT HE IS THE ACTUAL SON OF GOD. THE
PROBLEM WITH THIS LACK OF UNDERSTANDING IS THAT MANY BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE STATES THAT ONE MUST
BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD TO ENTER HEAVEN. LET US SEEK
WITHIN THE BIBLE AND FIND THE TRUTH OF THE SON OF GOD TOGETHER IN
THIS SON OF GOD BIBLE STUDY, SHALL WE?
SON OF GOD
JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD
Some people and even
some that claim to be Christians believe that Jesus was born, and
they accept certain aspects of Him and His ministry, but they don’t
accept that He is actually the Son of God. They are saying He is not
part of God but rather a MAN. Some even go as far as to say that He
was only a good MAN or a prophet. They actually claim to have read
the Bible and suggest that the Bible does not actually say that
Jesus is the Son of God. Tsk Tsk ... They need to ask the Holy
Spirit for discernment or at least get "Hooked on Phonics" cuz the
TRUTH is clearly written in God's Word.
Let us look at some of this scripture

Luke 1:35
And the Angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come
upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:
therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall
be called the
Son of God. |
This scripture makes
it clear that it was a virgin birth and God is the Father as
predicted in past prophecy in the Old Testament.

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a
sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall
call His name
Immanuel. |
Immanuel means ...
God is with us.
Then there was Jesus who actually told people that He was the Son of
God ...

John 10:30-38
I and my Father are one
...
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered
them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of
those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good
work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being
a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in
your law, I said, Ye are gods? If He called them gods, unto whom the
word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of Him,
whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou
blasphemest; because
I said, I am the Son of God?
If I do not the works of
my Father, believe me not. But if I
do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and
believe, that the Father is in me, and I in Him. |

John 9:35-37
Jesus heard that they had cast him
out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on
the
Son of God? He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that
I might believe on Him? And Jesus said unto him,
Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. |
One may argue that Jesus was evasive when He spoke about being the Son
of God, or that He often spoke in third person about the Son of God,
but as you just learned, when He told them directly that He was the
Son of God, He was accused of being a blasphemer and that is the
very reason why His own people crucified Him.
When a person is blinded from the TRUTH, as plain as it may be, they
cannot perceive it. Next, a person may wonder, how can Jesus be the
Son of God … and also be GOD?
John 10:24-27
Then came the Jews round about Him, and
said unto Him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the
Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye
believed not: the works that I do in
my Father's
name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not
of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know
them, and they follow me.
If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

Indeed, Jesus did say … plainly … that He is the Son
of God.
Jesus was referring to the TRINITY

If someone is talking about your soul, are

Obviously, with proof, there is no Faith necessary and Faith is the
most important part of being a Christian. I have to ask, what else
could Jesus have possibly said or done that would have satisfied the
unbelievers that He was who He said He was? He healed the sick,
blind, lame, and deaf, right in front of their very eyes. He
performed miracles, turning water into wine, turning a few fish into
enough to feed thousands, He raised people from the dead, He walked
on water, He calmed the sea, He sweat blood, He prophesied of things
to come, He fulfilled every prophecy that was ever written about
Him, which God’s people hoped for, for thousands of years. He gave
up His life for sinners. Do people expect more? The only thing He
requires in return is belief.

John 11:1-4
Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of
Mary and her sister Martha. (It was that Mary which anointed the
Lord with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother
Lazarus was sick.) Therefore his sisters sent unto Him, saying,
Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. When Jesus heard that, He
said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God,
that the
Son of God
might be glorified thereby. |

John 17:17-23
Sanctify them through thy TRUTH: thy word is TRUTH. As thou hast
sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the
world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might
be sanctified through the TRUTH. Neither pray I for these alone, but
for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That
they all may be one; as
thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that
thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given
them; that they may be one, even as
we are one: I in them,
and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the
world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou
hast loved me.

Do you suppose people would believe if God
Himself said that Jesus was His Son? What about if there were
witnesses too?

Luke 3:21-22
Now when all the people were baptized, it
came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the
Heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape
like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said,
Thou art
my beloved Son; in thee I am
well pleased.

Matthew 17:1-5
And after six days Jesus taketh
Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high
mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and His face did shine
as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there
appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with Him. Then answered
Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou
wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for
Moses, and one for Elias. While He yet spake, behold, a bright cloud
overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said,
This is
my beloved Son, in whom I am
well pleased; hear ye Him. |
Jesus is the Son of God.
If you glorify the Son of God, you are glorifying
God.

John 13:31-32
Therefore, when he (Judas) was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the
Son of man
glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God be glorified in Him,
God shall also glorify Him in Himself, and shall straightway glorify
Him.

Our lives are in Jesus’ hands. He will judge us. How
will He judge those who don’t believe that He is the Son of God?

John 5:22-27
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto
the Son:
That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father.
He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath
sent Him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word,
and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall
not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when
the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they
that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in Himself; so
hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself; And hath
given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the
Son of man. |

Luke 12:8-9
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall
confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess
before the Angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be
denied before the Angels of God. |

Luke 22:69
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the
power of God. |
Jesus is the Son of God.
Is eternal life worth believing that Jesus is the
Son of God?

John 3:13-21
And no man hath ascended up to Heaven, but He that came down from
heaven, even the Son of man which is in Heaven. And as Moses lifted up
the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up
(crucified): That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have
eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave
His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not
His Son
into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might
be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the
name of
the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For
every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light,
lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth TRUTH cometh to the
light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in
God. |
