EVIL IMAGINATIONS
God was speaking thru a prophet named Zechariah and shared a
statement that I would like to share:
|
Zechariah 7:10
And oppress not the widow, nor the
fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let NONE
OF YOU IMAGINE EVIL against his brother in your
heart. |
What do you believe “Imagine
Evil” means? Please share.
This Prophet of God repeated these words a lil later …
|
Zechariah 8:17
And let
none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his
neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are
things that I HATE, saith the LORD. |
I dunno about you ... But,
God is so loving and merciful that just seeing Him say the
word HATE makes me nervous and uncomfy.
God HATES when we think bad
thoughts against others like when we are backbiting and
whispering or whispering about others.
God wants us to LOVE one
another.
Jesus shared something that I wanna share with you …

Matthew 25:31-46
When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all
the Holy Angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the
Throne of His glory: And before Him shall be
gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one
from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from
the goats:
And He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but
the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto
them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my
Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from
the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred,
and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me
drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked,
and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I
was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the
righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee
an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee
drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee
in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee
sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King
shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto
you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the
least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand,
Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an
hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and
ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took
me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and
in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they
also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or
sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto
you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least
of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go
away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous
into life eternal. |
This is one frightening set of words … “And
these shall go away into everlasting punishment” ...
Perhaps those who
imagine evil against others should consider that they are
doing it to JESUS.
Maybe THIS would make them stop.
Most say … But
they did this or that to me. But God’s Word has made it
CLEAR:
|
James 1:20-21
For the wrath of man worketh not the
righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all
filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and
receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is
able to save your souls. |
In 99.9% of EVERY problem
between two people what do both parties want?
The answer is … AN APOLOGY.
IF the apology is given, in most cases it is
then suddenly easy to FORGIVE the other. Why not just let it
go even if you are right, just to be at peace with God? I
cannot even fathom how many friendships have been dissolved
cuz one or the other held such pride that they could not say
these two simple words … I’m sorry. If they would have,
GRACE would have been bestowed and the friendship would have
been stronger.
We are to even suffer wrongfully if we are righteous …
|
1 Peter 2:19-20
For this
is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God
endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory
is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye
shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well,
and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is
acceptable with God. |
Hear our Lord:
|
Luke 6:27-38
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do
good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse
you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek
offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy
cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to
every man that asketh of thee; and of him that
taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye
would that men should do to you, do ye also to them
likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what
thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love
them. And if ye do good to them which do good to
you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even
the same .......
Be ye therefore merciful, as your
Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not
be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be
condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give,
and it shall be given unto you; good measure,
pressed down, and shaken together, and running over,
shall men give into your bosom. For with the same
measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to
you again. |
We are commanded to LOVE others. Forgiveness
is an important part of love:
|
Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all
sins. |
It's never too late to forgive. There may be
something that happened years ago, maybe even in your
childhood that you haven't completely forgiven someone for.
You can change that. You can free yourself and other people
to be more fruitful for God if you do. If someone hasn't
forgiven you for something, perhaps you'd like to ask them
to forgive you. You're not only seeking for peace for your
own soul, but you're also giving them a chance to escape
that invisible net that they've unknowingly put themselves
in as well.
In the book of James we get a clear picture
of what we should do:
|
James 5:20
Brothers, if any of you sin, and
someone brings him to repentance, let him know that
the person who converts the sinner from the error of
his way will save a soul from death, and will hide a
multitude of sins. |
WOW … What a wonderful reward that YOU
receive when you find a way to bring peace to a matter by
means of forgiveness! So it is obvious that we are to try
diligently to get the one who has wronged us to see His
TRUTH as to be set free.
We must CHOOSE
to not only hear and agree to God’s Word, when we gather,
but to also perform the doing thereof:
|
James 1:22-25
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers
only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a
hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto
a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he
beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and
straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty,
and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful
hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be
blessed in his deed. |
Dc Talk has a
song called “What if I stumble” which speaks this message
well. It says … The greatest
single cause of atheism in the world today Is Christians,
who acknowledge Jesus with their lips then walk out the door
and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving
world simply finds unbelievable.
We
are supposed to REPRESENT God and God is LOVE.
|
1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God
hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in
love dwelleth in God, and God in him. |
So we need to LOVE ONE ANOTHER … NOT go
around imagining evil against them.
Take
care and have a SON-derful day.
