IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS ... THE BIBLE SAYS THAT GOD TELLS US THAT HE WILL
USE THE SUN, MOON AND STARS IN THE
SKY AS "SIGNS,
SEASONS, DAYS AND YEARS"

Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the
firmament of the Heaven to divide the day from the night;
and let them
be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years |
SINCE GOD HAS SHARED WITH US THAT HE WILL
USE THE SUN, MOON AND STARS AS SIGNS, WE SHOULD WATCH FOR THESE SIGNS IN
THE SKY.
WHAT SIGNS IN THE SUN MOON AND STARS
ARE WE TO WATCH FOR? DO WE NEED TO BECOME ASTROLOGISTS? NOT HARDLY. FOR
EXAMPLE ... ONE OF THE SIGNS THAT WE ARE TO WATCH FOR IS THAT THE STARS
WILL FALL AND THE MOON WILL TURN TO BLOOD.

Revelation 6:12-16
And I beheld when He
had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the
sun became black
as sackcloth of hair,
and the moon became as blood; And the
stars of Heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the
Heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of
Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of
His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

MAKE NO MISTAKE ... WE
ARE NOT BEING TOLD TO BECOME ASTROLOGISTS OR FOR US TO BELIEVE IN THE HOROSCOPES
OR NEW AGE TRENDS OF ASTROLOGY, BUT RATHER THAT WE SIMPLY WATCH THE SUN, MOON
AND STARS FOR SIGNS THAT WERE FORETOLD BY GOD ... BY WAY OF PROPHECY.
As Christians, we
must be cautious about what the world of science tries to teach us.

1 Timothy 6:20-21
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding
profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely
so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the
faith. Grace be with thee. Amen. |
An interesting thing
about science you'll find, is that many times, the proof that it comes
up with, is either theory, or it changes over time ... Which makes
things that science once claimed as TRUTH, to be lies. Let's start off with
a recent example of this. Up until last year, science taught all
of us that Pluto was a planet in our solar system. Suddenly,
science has come up with a different discovery ... Pluto is not a
planet, it's an asteroid!
Now, unless you're a
rocket scientist, an astronaut, an astronomer, or you had hoped one
day that you could go to the 'planet' Pluto, this new 'discovery'
doesn't really affect your life, but it does make you wonder about the
credibility of our scientists ... The people that some people believe,
before they believe God.
Please don't
misunderstand. There are people who seek TRUTH in the world. There
are those who uphold honor and believe in righteousness, but we must
be careful, because in this day and age, those who don't possess good
strong moral standards far outnumber those who do.
As you know, the
world is advancing in technology at a remarkable speed. Just think
about how advanced the world has become in just the last century. For
about 5900 years, since Adam, the most advanced form of transportation
on earth was propelled by four hoofs. The horse. Now in the last hundred years,
we've gone from horses, to trains, to automobiles, to airplanes, to
subways, to spaceships, and we even have a space station and
satellites that we've put into space that nobody would have dreamed of
just 100 short years ago. The Bible says that this would happen.

Daniel 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even
to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and
knowledge shall be increased. |
People have invented
some amazing things and some have been a tremendous benefit to
mankind. We have the capabilities of warning about dangerous weather
conditions that are approaching, ahead of time. We have fertilizers
that increase the production of our crops. We have electricity and
gasoline and other fuels that make our lives comfortable and much
easier than those of generations past. We have communication
capabilities that are phenomenal. We have televisions and games and
recorded music and air conditioners and central heating and I could go
on and on. These things seem to have made our world a better place to
live in ... or have they? Because of some of this recent technology,
our world suffers from pollution, nuclear waste, the diminishing ozone
layer, global warming, melting polar ice regions, declining
nutritional value of food, oil spills, wildlife extinction, health
issues, etc., etc., etc.
All these things
aside, what I'd really like for you to think about is how in these
past 100 years, as mankind advances in knowledge, science is trying
it's best to lure people away from their faith in God and His Word and
power, and is putting doubt in peoples' minds concerning things that
only God deserves the credit for.
With this in mind, I'd
like to quote to you, what our children are learning about how
the universe began. This excerpt is taken from A Child's First
Library of Learning - Science Starter - by Time-Life Books.
Sound like a reliable resource? Brace yourself.

How and When
Did the Universe Start?
Most scientists
believe that the universe began about 20 billion years ago. At
first it was very, very small, and it was made of completely
different materials than it is today. Soon after it began, it
started to spread out very rapidly. This growth is now called
the Big Bang, because it was so fast it was like an explosion.
Before the Big Bang, the universe was a much smaller ball. Then
it exploded, and there was an incredibly hot mass of light. Scientists believe that it was billions and billions of degrees
Fahrenheit. There is nothing in the universe today that is
nearly as hot as that. A million years after the Big Bang, the
universe continued to spread out and to slowly cool. At first
the universe seemed like a hazy mass.
As time passed, parts of
it became clearer. Several million years later the early
universe had no clear shape or structure. Scientists describe
this as being in a state of chaos. As the universe kept
spreading out, a cloudlike mass of gasses became what is called
a supergalactic group. Although the universe was taking shape,
it was a long way from being like anything we know. 20 billion
years later the supergalactic group then began to break up. It
formed smaller groups called galaxies. Today these hold the
millions of stars that form our universe.
Here's the
funny part:
NOTE TO THE
PARENT
It is not known
how the ball of fire came into existence or why the Big Bang
took place.

Well ... I guess the
note to the parent within the book just about says it all, now doesn't it?
HOW DID AN EXPLOSION MAKE SUCH A PERFECT TIMING
PROCESS?
SUNRISES, SUNSETS, SEASONS, EACH PLANET DOES IT'S PERFECT CIRCLE
CREATING A SPIRITUAL TIMEPIECE ... ALMOST LIKE A GIANT CLOCK.
IT IS ... IT IS GOD'S CLOCK.
Science will give credit to anything for the
existence of ANYTHING ... except God. the only One who is capable of
creating all the miraculous things that they continually try and prove
came from something else.
Always keep this in mind:

1 Corinthians 3:18-20
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be
wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For
it is written, He taketh (captures) the wise in their own
craftiness. |
I'd like to point out once again,
that all science is not looked down upon by Christians. Truthful,
righteous scientific facts are very interesting, helpful and
appreciated by all mankind. Even God's prophet Daniel was well
versed in science.

Daniel 1:4
Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all
wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and
understanding science,
and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom
they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans. |
The problem is ... The world is rapidly depending more and more on
science and technology, and less and less on God. As a result,
peoples' godly qualities are diminishing and the world is becoming a
very selfish, unloving, frightening place, just like the Apostle Paul
said it would.

2 Timothy
3:1-9
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which
creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins,
led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to
come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and
Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men
of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall
proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto
all men, as theirs also was. |
LET US LOOK AT A FEW MORE PREDICTIONS OF SIGNS THAT
WILL OCCUR ...
IN THE SUN, MOON AND STARS.

Revelation 6:13
And the stars of Heaven fell unto the earth, even as a

Revelation 8:7-10
The first Angel sounded, and there followed
hail and fire
mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and
the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was
burnt up. And the second Angel sounded, and as it were
a
great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and
the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of
the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the
third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third
Angel
sounded, and there fell
a great star from Heaven, burning as
it were a lamp, and it fell
upon the third part of the
rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; |

Revelation 11:19
And the temple of God was opened in Heaven, and there was seen
in His temple the Ark of his Testament: and
there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and
great hail. |

Revelation 16:21
And there fell upon men a
great hail out of Heaven, every
stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God
because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was
exceeding great. |
We should watch and pray
that we are worthy to be able to recognize the signs.
In March of 2007 a new comet
revealed itself. It has been named Lovejoy.
The UNIQUE thing about it is that it is a GREEN comet:
