JOSHUA SPEECH MESSAGE
Greetings to you and
welcome back to Daily Bread. This is our last segment in the study of the book of
Joshua. In
Chapter 23 and
24, you'll find Joshua's last words to the
people of Israel.
Now, instead of us interpreting for you as we have been in the
Daily Bread Program,
I encourage you to read it yourself, word for word,
out of your Bible, because though you have become acquainted with Joshua
throughout these stories, there are some things that are just not as
meaningful unless you experience them firsthand.

SUMMARY
Joshua was a hero.
His dedication to following the Lord with his whole heart is why God
trusted him to bring His people into the Promised Land flowing with milk
and honey. Joshua heard the voice of the lord and was successful in
transferring his trust in God to the people as they faced battle after
battle with overwhelming odds against them.
Joshua reminds the
people in his address, what has been proven to them over and over and
over again ... Follow the Lord with all your heart, and you will be
blessed. If you forsake the Lord ... You will be cursed. It's as simple
as that.
Joshua delivers the
Word of the Lord to the people in a recollection of the history of the
Hebrews from all the way back to the father of Abraham. Finally, Joshua
makes a covenant with the children of Israel to serve the Lord and obey
His voice.
Joshua died when he
was 110 years old, and Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua and
all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua.
